Inqaba means mystery or something that is not fully understood. The concept of ‘oneness with the universe’ is what I am exploring through my work. Here on earth, one is bound by flesh and material things whilst universally he is one with it or part of it. Inqaba yabadala is the mystery of the elders which constitute my tradition and beliefs.

My work speaks about the universe from an Nguni perspective. I intend to teach, share my understanding of the universe and also have fun with this subject. I have always been fascinated by the stars from an early age. It started with my mother telling me about creation from the Bible and also a story of Apollo when she landed on the Moon. Ever since then I have been captivated by these stories of the universe from elders and by just looking at it, it makes me think of how we are one and also connected.
