Monotype Screen-Print Workshop

Hosted at our studio at the Isle of Houghton Office Park 

Facilitated by Hlelo Molife, our in-house screen print technician and  APS alum. 

This technique involves using the screen-mesh as a plate for drawing or painting the artwork. Screen-print monotypes can be produced using watercolours that are left to dry on the screen before re-hydrating the pigments with transparent base. Monotype screen-prints produce a beautiful variety of tones and colours and a ghost image can also be pulled from the screen.

Disclaimer: Bookings to be made a week before the workshop to allow time for ordering materials. We need a minimum of 7 people to run the workshop. Workshop fees include materials and light refreshments.
