Artist statement

This body of work is a reflection of endless love, I never really knew what love was until I became a mother, I birthed the love I never knew existed.

I never knew I could love so unconditionally, I never knew my heart could give so unequivocally. Creating this body of work, I gently placed the babies against mom’s shoulders and some against mom’s chin to emphasize the tie which links mother and child, a pure and immaculate strength as to be never violated. The embossing of flowers and colourful background symbolizes growth and happiness. Being a mom is the toughest job in the world, but it has thought me patience, which inspired me to create a calm series of work that shows a bond between mothers and their children and stability of motherhood.
