Hloriso’s body of work explores the human senses, particularly through the lens of smell, touch, and sound within the Tembisa township. His works document the Tembisa landscape, emphasizing how the land holds and tells its history, where every movement matters.

Using various print making techniques, Hloriso’s compositions reflect the everyday life in his township, Tembisa capturing the interactions between people that span generations. The textures in his work evoke the diverse dress codes of the community, each with its own character and purpose. He also conveys the pervasive smell of the environment, highlighting how the township's pollution and the struggles of its youth create a desperate quest for survival.

The sounds of bustling crowds and the transportation of people resonate throughout his pieces. For instance, the energy that fills the air during the last week of the month—when people have money—can be felt, with Pantsulas dancing on busy street corners, pushing back against the negative tensions that choke the landscape.
