My work is a journey of self-discovery, exploring my identity and heritage as someone from Mozambique now residing in South Africa. It reflects both my travels and daily experiences. A key element in my art is the use of "capulana," which I incorporate into my compositions to connect with my roots "back home." This  fabric helps convey my personal journeys, bridging the past and present.

Currently, I am studying printmaking at Artist Proof Studio, where I have been introduced to a variety of printing techniques. One technique that resonates with me is linoleum printing, which evokes memories of my grandfather’s  woodwork and my father’s craft as a tiller. I often draw inspiration from wood patterns that reflect the heritage passed down through my family.
