"I believe that the work we create should represent the places and people that we surround ourselves with and in my work, I enjoy highlighting the importance of human connection. A few years ago we all were isolated from one another. In that time I found myself needing to create work that showed love without fear. We do not know how much time we have with our loved ones so I intend to show that love with those close to me and with the work I create. The colours I use are to highlight new colour combinations that were never a part of traditional artworks but I use them to introduce new ideas into spaces they were once never welcome in." - Leigh Le Roux
