Simphiwe Dlamini's work explores the theme of personal loss, specifically the loss of a close friend. Through prints, she tells this story using memory, metaphors, and symbolism. She represent her friend and the nest symbolizing the breakdown of her sense of security.  Simphiwe creates an atmospheric quality, exaggerating the scale of the bird to recreate their friendship in an idealized landscape, where anything is possible.
