Artist Proof Studio (APS) has been a leading centre of printmaking excellence since 1991, dedicated to developing artists through education, mentorship, collaboration and professional practice. Founded on the principles of access, equality and Ubuntu, APS has trained more than 400 artists, many of whom have gone on to become respected practitioners, educators and cultural leaders.

As APS marks 35 years, the studio continues to champion artistic excellence while creating opportunities for emerging and established artists through exhibitions, print collaborations and partnerships across South Africa and beyond. Representing a dynamic community of alumni and current practitioners, APS remains committed to nurturing creative talent, advancing printmaking, and building sustainable futures through art.
