My work focuses on the construction of the “Perfect Man”. Referencing the geometric lines that form the Golden Ratio face, as depicted by Leonardo da Vinci, I use my profile to create an alter-ego called Mariri. After the death my father I was left with the responsibilities of a father, as I am the first born and the oldest child. So I am looking and interrogating; what would be the Perfect male figure for my siblings?
I am also interested in light as a metaphor for perfection, this is so because it has all the seven colours. I love constructing and deconstructing the human face using different colours to express the complexities of the Perfect man.
