Collection: Reflection

Reflecting the internal and the external. The collective theme behind our work is an introspective investigation into our identities in relation to what is expected of us, by society. Our works explore spirituality, sexuality, assigned gender roles, and social expectations and norms within a Pan African context.

Informed by our varied backgrounds, we delve deeper into our individuality through various process of printmaking. As young South Africans living in a post COVID world, we question our place in society, in pursuit of a sense of meaning and certainty in an uncertain world.
