Growing up, I watched my father providing for the family. After he lost his job, I could see the weight piling up on him as he could not provide for his family. I had to step up and help my father which I did through selling my artwork and entering competitions. In order to survive and make ends meet, both me and my father did what we could.

We all have dreams and aspirations and in a way we all hustle. Hustling is part of most people’s reality. We are like rats and mice, making the most of opportunities. Rats and mice hustle like humans. In my works I use many lines and patterns that sometimes create mazes and routes. The shapes and chessboards relate to game where we need to strategize and plan to win. We must go through some levels and stages to succeed.
