Raffle Terms and Conditions

APS Education Programme Fundraising Raffle

These Terms and Conditions govern the APS Education Programme Fundraising Raffle organised by Artist Proof Studio. By purchasing a raffle ticket, entrants agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions outlined below.

1. Organiser

The raffle is organised and administered by Artist Proof Studio in support of the APS Education Programme and student support initiatives.

 

2. Purpose of the Raffle

The purpose of the raffle is to raise funds in support of APS students, including assistance with educational fees, programme support, and related educational resources.

 

3. Eligibility

3.1 Entry is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.


3.2 The raffle is open to all residents of South Africa.


3.3 Employees, staff members, and immediate family members of APS staff are not eligible to enter the raffle.


3.4 By entering the raffle, participants confirm that all information submitted is true, accurate, and complete.

 

4. Ticket Sales

4.1 Tickets will be sold at a price of R300 per ticket.


4.2 A maximum of 150 tickets will be made available for sale.


4.3 Each ticket purchased constitutes one entry into the raffle draw.


4.4 Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.


4.5 Participants may purchase multiple tickets, subject to ticket availability.


4.6 Ticket sales will close once all tickets have been sold or on 21 June 2026, whichever occurs first.

 

5. Payment and Entry Confirmation

5.1 Entry into the raffle will only be confirmed once full payment has been received.


5.2 Participants may be required to provide proof of payment to validate their entry.


5.3 Once payment has been confirmed, entrants will receive an order confirmation via email. The four-digit order confirmation number (eg. #1000) will serve as the entrant’s official raffle ticket number.


5.4 APS reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry where payment cannot be successfully verified.

 

6. The Prize

6.1 The raffle prize consists of one original print by William Kentridge valued at R12 000 -R15,000.

6.2 The prize is non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash or any alternative item.

6.3 APS reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative item of similar value should circumstances beyond its control require this.

 

7. Draw Procedure

7.1 The winner will be selected through a random draw conducted on the official draw date as communicated by APS.

7.2 The draw will be conducted publicly and may be recorded or streamed live via APS social media platforms.

7.3 The draw result will be final and binding.

 

8. Winner Notification

8.1 The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided at the time of ticket purchase.

8.2 If the winner cannot be contacted within seven days of the draw date, APS reserves the right to conduct a redraw and select an alternative winner.

8.3 The winner may be requested to provide proof of identity before the prize is released.

 

9. Use of Funds

9.1 All proceeds raised through the raffle will support the APS Education Programme and related student support initiatives.

9.2 Funds may be used toward student fee assistance, educational materials, programme development, and other educational support needs identified by APS.

 

10. Publicity

10.1 By participating in the raffle, entrants agree that APS may announce the winners name on its official communication platforms unless otherwise requested by the winner.

10.2 APS may use photographs or documentation relating to the raffle for promotional and archival purposes.

 

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 APS shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the raffle or acceptance of the prize.

11.2 APS is not responsible for technical failures, payment delays, or incomplete entries resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

 

12. Amendments and Cancellation

12.1 APS reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions where reasonably necessary.

12.2 APS reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or suspend the raffle due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.

12.3 Any changes to the raffle or these Terms and Conditions will be communicated through official APS communication channels.

13. Shipping and Collection
13.1 The prize may be shipped to winners within South Africa only.


13.2 APS will not arrange or cover international shipping under any circumstances.


13.3 Any additional delivery arrangements requested by the winner may be subject to additional costs, which will be for the winner’s own account.

APS will not be held responsible for delays, losses, or damage caused during the shipping process once the prize has been dispatched.

 

14. Framing of Prize

14.1 The raffle prize does not include framing.
14.2 Any framing, mounting, or additional presentation costs will be the sole responsibility of the winner.

15. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions

15.1 By purchasing a raffle ticket, entrants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

15.2 Participation in the raffle constitutes full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
