My prints are inspired by my background and tell a story about how I grew up in Orange Farm. I found it very difficult to accept the loss of my family members including my mother, it was a privilege to be raised by my grandparents with their pension grant. The loss of my parents made me brave at a very young age.  I opened a small Tuck shop for me and my little brother to survive. Through all of these difficulties as a young artist my grandparents encouraged me to build myself as an artist. Orange Farm is not an easy place to pursue your dreams and goals. It is a place with few opportunities and a lot of drug and alcohol abuse.

My work is influenced by the loss of my family members and the place that I grew up in. I must believe in my future and never let the past hold my future.
