.  Her work explores the mother- daughter relationship. Through her images she attempts to define her own identity into womanhood in relation to the values her mother embedded in her.  She says that, “The Hybrid Tea rose is known for growing uncontrollably, I use this characteristic of the rose symbolising my mother’s presence in me.  The narrative in this series follows my personal struggle in taming these ‘roses’ that are grow from beneath my skin giving rise to my morphed hybrid figure”.
